What is Mobile Mapping

With Mobile Mapping Services, you can collect 3D geospatial data from any moving vehicle whether on land, sea or rail. This data is collected via the vehicle mounted laser scanners, sensors and cameras and then registered and processed at our head office.
All collected data is sure to be accurate to a survey grade level and can be delivered in various industry-standard formats such as point cloud, AutoCAD topographic survey, GIS, REVIT, etc. Mobile Mapping Services refer to the use of mobile systems equipped with a combination of sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, GNSS (GPS), and IMUs to collect geospatial data while in motion, typically mounted on vehicles like cars, drones, boats, or backpacks. Mobile Mapping Services involve the use of mobile platforms—such as vehicles, drones, boats, or backpacks—equipped with a combination of sensors (LiDAR, cameras, GNSS, IMUs, etc.) to capture geospatial data quickly and accurately while in motion. The collected data is used to generate high-resolution maps, 3D models, and georeferenced imagery for a variety of applications.Mobile mapping systems combine vehicle-mounted hardware with intelligent software to enable fast and comprehensive data collection on the go.
